I recently interviewed author, visionary, dreamweaver, Thomas K. Slee, about his latest novel which has successfully funded on Kickstarter.
There is a $5K stretch goal though so please spread the word and if technothrillers are your sort of thing I highly recommend jumping onboard before time runs out.
I can’t wait receive my copy when fulfilment commences.

It’s interesting to see how far Glancing Hit has come since February 2023.
While growth is steady, I’m happy with plodding along, documenting the tabletop hobbies and games that spark joy.
The important thing is we’re having fun.
Top stories for 2024
Behold! The time of lists is upon us.
So, here’s one based on total views between January 2024 and now (19 December 2024).
Atomic Mass Games is so hot right now – the most-read story of 2024 was indeed an interview with Studio Head and designer Will Shick. Thanks to the Mini Myths community on Discord for helping curate questions to make this happen! I learnt a few things but didn’t succumb to MCP conversion … yet.
Marvel Crisis Protocol exclusive interview
Several tabletop gaming communities I engage with enjoy playing Marvel Crisis Protocol, a tactical skirmish miniatures game. Players select squads comprising their favourite Marvel characters and use them to fight over an interactive battlefield to be the first to complete their mission objectives.
Another day, another AMG focus but this time it’s all blasters, lightsabers and an incredible ewok village. If you’re not playing Shatterpoint, get on it.
The Fall of Mandalore | Event review
Mini Myths organised a three-round Star Wars: Shatterpoint tournament at The Gaming Arena on Saturday 25 May and it was awesome.
People love events and my preview and follow-up wrap of Cancon proved to be well received. With better planning and more funding I’ll be keen to do it again. Sadly, I will miss Cancon 2025 and Crimson Brush. Maybe next time?
Cancon 2024 preview
One of Australia’s largest annual gaming conventions – Cancon 2024 – is nearly here and the scale of it all is staggering, possibly overwhelming.
Now this was a special day. Wrangling kids, catching up with family and friends, embracing everything amazing about tabletop gaming and hobbying.
Victorius '24 was a resounding success
Tabletop gaming and all adjacent hobbies were in full force today at Box Hill Town Hall. I’m pleased to report that Victorius ‘24 delivered on all fronts and surpassed my daughters’ expectations. Mine too. As for three-year-old Theodore, he held out so the show must’ve been fantastic.
Clearly the people want their events. At the time, MEGA was a breath of fresh air for wargamers and enthusiasts in Victoria. I am looking forward to the next one!
What you need to know about MElbourne GAming Show (MEGA 2024)
The Gentleman’s Wargame Club is organising MEGA 2024, a special event for tabletop wargamers, hobbyists and enthusiasts, which is being held 16 November 2024 at Kensington Town Hall, Victoria.
What to expect in 2025
After a little holiday break I’m keen to get stuck into more interviews, more event coverage and more hobby.
So if there’s anything specific you would like to see right here on Glancing Hit let me know.
In the meantime I have a DAK Bolt Action army to assemble and paint, a Death Guard army waiting for a codex, several 7TV scenarios to try, more games of WARSURGE on the horizon, maybe even a little Tribal …
