Howdy!
Where does the time go?
I managed to complete another three-hour painting session and have slapped more paint on the Plague Marines Kill Team.
At this stage I’m batch painting to block colours in and as you can see I’ve settled on a purple armour scheme which I aim to lighten with a blue. This was, in part, influenced by the impending arrival of the Emperor’s Children.
The original concept was to have these Bubonic Boys blend into my larger Death Guard army but that’s just boring green with silver-bronze trim.
Here I have an opportunity to do something different to make these elites stand out from from the others. So boring purple with silver-bronze trim then …
With the Easter long weekend in sight I’m hoping to spend more time with brushes and paints. There’s a lot of work ahead if I want these to be anywhere near display standard.
But wait, there’s more!
During my lunch break earlier I took a rattle can to my BattleTech: Alpha Strike mechs and my wife’s Wraithknight.
Say hi to Turnip Head from Howl’s Moving Castle. Or maybe it’s another Wraithknight?
UPDATE: My wife painted Turnip Head.
Limited edition ‘blood tithe’ shirt
I heard the Warhammer: Age of Sigmar event at Guf Werribee last weekend was a fun clash. Memories were made, rivalries intensified and Fab absolutely slayed.
To celebrate, there’s a limited edition shirt!
Has Fab ever brutalised you with his Khorne?
If he has, you've heard the phrase ‘That's a blood tithe’.
It's annoying.
It's obnoxious.
But damn it, it's Fab – it's impossible to hate him.
Reclaim the phrase by wearing a shirt adorned with it …
As a Fab fan I’ll be getting my shirt when pay day rolls around.
Be quick though as orders close before 21 April 2025.

More This Quar’s War minis coming soon
Official hard plastic command squads are on the way for those Crusaders and Coftyrans!
Chatter online indicates the price point will remain approx. $60 for a box but with only a handful of minis compared to the 24 we’ve been spoilt with in those initial infantry releases.
However, when you compare the cost of three Deathshroud Terminators ($105) … there’s no quarrel from me.
Salute 52
Meanwhile, there was this impressive event happening in the UK earlier this month.
Big Deno!
Now to get back into the display painting mindset I present to you: Trent Denison’s latest video.
I gotta paint more DAK, too!
It’s been a while between games so here’s another Bolt Action battle report to keep the ruleset front of mind.
