Trench Crusade narrative event next month
MEGA early bird tickets, WARSURGE bounties, Halloween Listening Party returns and more
Howdy! How was your weekend?
My highlight was the Game Discovery Day.
I missed PAX Aus this weekend. To be fair, I’ve never been. If you’re reading this and you attended the gaming festival at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre, tell me all about the loot you scored and what you saw. Did I miss anything cool?
No saints in the trenches
Will his remains be returned to their rightful place within the Vatican? Or will Succoth-benoth’s many vile hands smother his holy spirit for all of eternity. You decide.
The Gaming Arena is hosting a one-day Trench Crusade narrative event – The Desecration of St. Padunius – on 15 November 2025.
What’s exciting about this one is the digital lead-up where participants can begin to claim territories and indulge in the lore.
It sounds like my idea of a good time.
For more information visit the Facebook page and the Discord server.
The player pack is here.
Make your MEGA move before dawn
Conquer the battlefield – and your budget – by rising to this occasion.
Oh I could never forget you, 7TV
This is an exciting hobby project for the 7TV expansion: Beneath the Mountains of Madness. I’m a little jealous – looks incredible.
As a proud owner of the rules I’m yet to embark on my version of this board …
More Infinity on the way
Ping me when Haqqislam get new releases.
Co-op Vampire: The Masquerade tabletop
Vampire: The Masquerade - Palermo Conspiracies is a narrative-driven cooperative game for 1-4 players set in the World of Darkness, exclusive for the Teburu System. Take the role of Camarilla Archons in this standalone module in the Teburu VtM collection.
Teburu, with its physical-digital integration, reminds me of LEGO Dimensions and that ended up being annoying (mucking around with toys to trigger video game stuff). Hopefully this tech-meets-board thing turns out ok.
WARSURGE bounties
Scramble your forces – whatever you can muster – to attempt a series of special bounty encounters using the mini-agnostic WARSURGE rules.
It’s heaps of fun and totally free.
The latest one ‘Weeping Rusalka’ ties in well with the upcoming Halloween vibes.
Reports of a woman’s loud crying and missing men revealed a dangerous rusalka. Rumours suggest the maiden was betrayed and drowned by her lover. Now cursed, she is compelled to drown anyone that comes too close to her.
Speaking of spooky season
Check out the Halloween Listening Party on FOTW Radio!
Oh, treat yourself to some stickers and other treats, too.
Tune in anytime you like to catch one of our 13 themed hours – including the new Darkwave Hour, and our regular Halloween Assortments where we have hundreds of classic Halloween songs on rotation, but also many new releases from around the world by songwriters composing in the key of spooky!
On Halloween night (which falls on a Fri-yay!) you will hear a creepy tale from Australian writer Luke as well as the welcome return of Missy El for a new Cassettes & Chocolate Milk Halloween Special.
Quar plastic inbound
My good ol’ Coftyrans are getting plastic tractors which is sweet.
Admiring Five Parsecs for no particular reason
Anyone else interested in a narrative-driven sci-fi adventure with minis? If anyone has tried Five Parsecs From Home please share your thoughts. I see a bit of buzz over at the Hobby Homies Discord about it.
3am eternal …
In under 24 hours I assembled, primed and painted a Vigilant Brotherhood spearhead.
Aside from a few details (mostly faces) and areas that need highlighting and more work, it’s a nearly-table-ready force.
So far I’ve played one game of Warhammer: Age of Sigmar (Spearhead) and … it’s already better than Warhammer 40K …
Oof.
Shots fired.
Armies on Parade is changing
An exciting update from Mini Myths – read all about it.
